Muir accepts IRO honorary fellowship

George Muir (pictured), director general of the Association of Train Operating Companies, has accepted an honorary fellowship of the Institution of Railway Operators. He has been a leading figure in Britain’s rail industry since he was appointed managing director of Connex South Eastern in 1998, but a year later he was appointed director general of ATOC.
