Stagecoach has confirmed industry rumours with the news that Stagecoach Manchester managing director Mark Threapleton has been named as the new head of the group's recently acquired London bus operations.

Earlier this month Stagecoach acquired the bus operations of the East London Bus Group from administrators in a £53m deal.
