Fylde Borough Council has ordered Metric Elite pay & display machines manufactured from stainless steel specification to combat the harsh coastal environment experienced in the tourist area of Lytham St Annes.
The council is replacing its current machines, some of which are up to 15 years old, in surface car parks. All terminals are within three-quarters of a mile of the seafront, meaning they are exposed to salt spray.
