Oxfordshire County Council is to consult next month on plans to cut tendered bus services, as it seeks to reduce the supported transport budget by about 20% over the next two years.
The Conservative-controlled council is proposing £6.25m of annual savings by 2017/18 from its £30m budget for home-to-school transport; subsidised bus services; adult and children’s social care transport; community transport; dial-a-ride; and concessionary fares.
