Overnight weekend parking will be allowed Metrolink tram park & ride stations across Manchester from the end of July.
Last December, Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) trialled allowing tram customers overnight parking on Friday and Saturday nights at 15 Metrolink stops. The stays were free if the cars were picked up by 12pm the following day.
The pilot scheme has been judged a success, with no capacity issues affecting regular daytime commuters.
