A Parliamentary petition calling for curbs on the parking charges levied by private parking operators, launched by parking campaigner Barry Beavis, has attracted over 12,000 signatures. Beavis made headlines when his legal challenge against parking charge notices issued by ParkingEye went as far as the UK Supreme Court, which ruled that the charges were fair.
