METRIC Group used Parkex 2016 to give visitors a first look at its new Sprite parking terminal. The Sprite, which is slimmer and shorter than the company’s Elite LS model, will be brought to market later this year.
The Sprite can operate in a range of parking modes. It features a touch keypad that can include QWERTY keys for pay-by-plate and ANPR parking modes, as well other types of data capture. The keypad can also be designed with special characters to suit specific language requirements.
The Sprite offers a variety of payment options, including coins, notes, chip & PIN and contactless, including ApplePay. Voucher scanning can be used to offer free or discounted parking for a number of scenarios such as retail, residential, members and employee parking.
METRIC also gave delegates a sneak peak at Mi-Office, the company’s successor to its WebASLAN back office management system, which is currently being trialled and prepared for launch.
