London’s Waltham Forest Council has been working with its parking contractor to tackle environmental crimes such as littering, spitting and dog fouling. These tasks had been performed in-house, but at the end of last year NSL began enforcing low-level crimes, allowing the council’s neighbourhoods officers to focus their time on larger issues such as fly-tipping.
