Building work has begun on a new £10m multi-storey car park at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI).
Businessman Sir Ian Wood and his family pledged the new car park through their charitable body The Wood Foundation, which funded the 1,000-space patient and visitor car park. There are currently only 748 spaces at ARI, despite the hospital receiving around 5,000 visits a day. This has led to traffic problems at the hospital.
