Parent and teacher enforcement trial around Essex school issued no tickets

A scheme that enabled teachers and parents to enforce parking restrictions on roads outside an Essex primary school has not resulted in any penalty notices being issued. Thurrock Council asked volunteers to act as ‘traffic wardens’ at Tilbury Pioneer Academy in Essex in September 2015. However, the powers were enforced by just one parent, and in that case no penalty was imposed.
