Half of drivers still prefer cash when paying to park, says BPA

Half of motorists still prefer to use traditional cash and pay & display machines when paying for parking, a survey carried out for the British Parking Association (BPA) indicates. 

Nearly a quarter of motorists (23%) are happy to use their credit and debit card at a machine, but are less comfortable with newer technology methods, with just 17% saying they would prefer to use a mobile phone app, paying via text, online or via a parking website.
