Parking in the City will be the theme of the 18th European Parking Congress.
The congress is the biennial gathering of the European Parking Association (EPA), which will take place in Rotterdam, Netherlands from 20-22 September 2017.
The EPA Congress brings together participants from more than 30 countries worldwide to discuss future developments and best practices of the European parking industry.
The congress also hosts the presentation of the winners of the European Parking Awards.
The 18th EPA Congress and Exhibition will be accompanied by a programme of activities held within walking distance from the event venue. The two days are designed to enable the participants to exchange knowledge and to network.
The EPA exhibition, held in parallel with the congress, will deal with additional topics relating to planning, construction and operating of parking areas.
The 17th Congress, which was held in Berlin, Germany, featured over 110 exhibitors and the event attracted around 550 delegates and over 2,200 exhibition visitors.
The EPA is the umbrella organisation of 22 European parking associations. The association was founded in 1983 to facilitate the exchange of professional experience among members and other international bodies relating to parking and urban mobility.
This year the congress is hosted by the Dutch parking association (VEXPAN), which was founded in 1986. VEXPAN is now the prime authority in the field of parking in the Dutch mobility sector and urban development.
Its membership comprises 200 local authorities, public and private operators, consultants, construction and installation companies, service providers, suppliers of parking equipment, project developers and other interested parties in the parking industry.
The congress will take place in the De Doelen international conference centre, is within walking distance of Rotterdam’s Centraal Station. The event is produced by Mesago Messe Frankfurt.
“The combination of congress and exhibition provides a perfect platform for user-oriented science and best practice under one roof and creates numerous synergy effects,” said Simone Pfisterer, vice president of Mesago Messe Frankfurt.
Early bird booking is available until 1 May.
