New council houses are being put up on a site in Cambridge that was previously occupied by 15 garages.
The two semi-detached three-bedroom properties on Uphall Road will be let to people currently on the council’s housing waiting list. They will rent them directly from the council.
The Uphall Road scheme was given planning permission in November and work got under way in April, when the garages were demolished to make way for the homes.
