To move, we occasionally need to stop. Indeed, we could look at door-to-door / end-to-end journeys by designing how we stop (to change from one bit of the journey to another) as much as how we travel. Transport hubs and interchanges are all about designing hiatuses between journey segments. Whilst we usually think of these as the grander multi-modal cheek-to-cheek interchanges, the humble bus stop is an intermodal interchange hub too.

So far, so obvious. But in the emerging models of mobility...
