Southampton Airport has installed electric vehicle (EV) charging points in its short-stay and priority parking areas less than a three-minute walk from the departure lounge.
The Pod Point 7kW charge points are free to use for those staying in the car park. Local drivers are also being encouraged to stop by and use them while having a coffee from the comfort of the terminal building.
Seven of the points are for customer use, while one is for airport vehicles.
