Over 1,600 motorists in Swansea have been penalised for parking in disabled bays without displaying a Blue Badge over last year.
Figures released by Swansea Council reveal that between March 2017 and February 2018 some 1,660 drivers were fined for illegally parking in the bays. A total of 344 people have contested the fines over the last financial year.
The total number of people who have been issued blue badges to use legally in Swansea is 5,759.
