Hospital car parking will finally become free at all Welsh hospitals by the end of the year a decade after the Welsh Government announced this as its policy. The free hospital parking policy was announced by the then Welsh Health Minister Edwina Hart in March 2008. Most hospitals scrapped parking fees within weeks, but some health boards were bound by long-term contracts with parking management contracts.
