Aberdeen City Council has processed no penalty charge notice appeals this year, citing a backlog of cases caused by a high volume of appeals as the reason.
None of the 2,289 PCN appeals received between 1 January and 20 May had been dealt with, the council revealed to a Freedom of Information (FOI) request made by The Press and Journal newspaper.
The city council had issued 15,305 PCNs over the same time period, with 5,897 remained unpaid as at 20 May. An Aberdeen City Council spokeswoman said:...
