Canterbury City Council is expanding its use of camera and barrier-controlled ticketless parking. Canterbury claims it has more council-run public car parks featuring automatic number plate recognition systems (ANPR) than any other local authority in the country. The council is increasing the number of car parks covered by ANPR to 16, following a trial in four car parks over the last two years.
