West Midlands council’s parking enforcement operation run at a small loss, reports Patrick McDonnell

The cost of enforcing parking restrictions in West Midlands towns such as Oldbury, Wednesbury and West Bromwich outweighs the value of the penalty charge notices (PCNs) being issued, figures from Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council reveal. Statistics on parking enforcement were released by Sandwell following a Freedom of Information (FOI) request from the Birmingham Mail newspaper.
