A Surrey council has signalled its concerns about Heathrow Airport’s proposal to create parking for up to 25,000 spaces in Stanwell as part of its third runway project. The car parks would be built alongside taxi feeds and car rental pounds, together with 100 spaces for HGV lorry parking. The council said the potential impact on residents would be “overwhelming” and could “decimate” the community.
