Free Sunday parking in Glasgow city centre came to an end last month. The City of Glasgow Council sees charging on Sundays as a means of ensuring a churn of spaces rather than bays being occupied for long periods by the same vehicle.
The new rules bring Sunday charges into line with Monday-Saturday parking. The current charge for on-street parking is £1 for 15 mins with a maximum stay of two hours.
