Police have warned motorists to be aware of fake ‘traffic wardens’ who issue bogus fines in order to steal drivers’ bank details.
Action Fraud has received over 30 reports since January of people targeted by criminals dressing up as police officers and traffic wardens and issuing ‘tickets’.
