Open access train operator proposes more station parking

The businessman behind a planned “open access” train service is offering to invest in about 250 additional parking spaces at Severn Tunnel Junction station, as well as improved road access. Ian Yeowart has applied to the Office of Rail and Road (ORR) for permission for Grand Union Trains to operate a train every two hours between Cardiff and London from May 2021 and every hour from May 2023, when the train service would be extended west to serve Llanelli and Swansea.
