Tesco has suspended a parking validation app used at 19 stores after a technology magazine uncovered tens of millions of unsecured automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) images sitting in an unsecured cloud storage area.
According to the online magazine The Register, images of cars entering and leaving 19 Tesco car parks across Britain could be seen in a Blob storage file used to power the outsourced parkshopreg.co.uk website.
