Transport Scotland is consulting on introducing free bus travel for all under-19s resident in the country.
About 770,000 would be eligible for the policy, which will be introduced in late-2021. The Scottish Government says the policy will: help young people access education, employment and leisure; particularly help low income families; increase young people’s independence; and encourage public transport use.
