Aberdeen City Council has voiced satisfaction with almost 150 timber footway extensions implemented in the city using Covid-19 emergency traffic management funding. 

The council came up with the idea after observing that pedestrians were reluctant to step into the carriageway where the pavement had been extended using traffic cones.
