Liverpool City Council may ban the advertising of high-emission car models and flights on its estate.
A review of the council’s advertising policies on environmental grounds was unanimously approved by councillors in January. A motion presented to the full council pointed out that the council had declared a climate emergency in 2019 and had committed to becoming a net zero carbon city by 2030.
