Police advise motorists after spate of catalytic converter thefts

West Yorkshire Police is encouraging motorists to check the security of their vehicles after a recent increase in the theft of catalytic converters.

Since 30 January there have been 20 recorded thefts across West Yorkshire.

Thieves will usually remove a catalytic converter from a vehicle in just a few minutes, but you can reduce your chances of being a victim by following police advice.
