Nitrogen dioxide levels have fallen by 10% across Bristol in the first year since the launch of a Clean Air Zone (CAZ), says a new report from the city council. Meanwhile, NO2 levels are down 13% down inside the CAZ and 20% down outside the Bristol Royal Infirmary and Children’s Hospital, according to council figures.

The authority reports that 88% of journeys into the CAZ are now made by compliant vehicles.
