The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority is to spend £100,000 developing plans for regional arms of the Cambridgeshire Autonomous Metro (CAM) bus rapid transit system.
The funding will pay for strategic outline business cases to explore extending CAM from: St Ives to Alconbury; Cambourne to St Neots; Newmarket park-and-ride to Mildenhall; and Granta Park to Haverhill. These would form the outer ends of the CAM network that is focused on Cambridge.
