Nextbike has launched an electric bike share scheme in Penarth with funding from The Vale of Glamorgan Council. A fleet of 50 e-bikes and five docking stations came into operation this month. E-bike rental will cost £1 per 30 minutes for customers with monthly or annual membership or £2 per 20 minutes on a pay-as-you-ride basis. The scheme is funded by Section 106 developer contributions.
