Leicestershire County Council has expressed concern about the speed at which a proposed strategic rail freight interchange (SRFI) warehousing facility at Hinckley is being promoted.
Tritax Symmetry is proposing the facility with up to 850,000 square metres of warehousing on the Nuneaton to Leicester railway line, east of Hinckley. Road access would be provided from junction 2 of the M69, which connects the M6 near Coventry to the M1 near Leicester.
