Welsh Government seek airport partner

The Welsh Government is looking for a private sector partner to take a stake in Cardiff Airport. The Welsh Government bought the struggling airport in March for £52m. Passenger numbers peaked at two million in 2007 but were just over one million in 2012. “What we are looking at is for a commercial operator to come in to run the airport, perhaps come into partnership with us – maybe buy half the airport,” said Welsh first minister Carwyn Jones.
