The Welsh Government has appointed active travel charity Sustrans to help local authorities meet their duties under the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013.
The legislation, which was spearheaded by Sustrans, places a duty on local authorities to map their walking and cycling routes, identify required enhancements and then make improvements to those networks.
