The City of Edinburgh Council is working with bus operators on a method to review bus stops with a view to reducing their number (LTT 17 Aug 18). The council has spoken to Transport for the West Midlands about the methodology it used to rationalise bus stops in South Birmingham. Edinburgh says stops identified for removal will be subject to consultation with operators and local communities. Closing bus stops is intended to speed up bus journey times....
