The Welsh Government has launched a consultation on a proposed new alignment for the A40 between Penblewin and Redstone Cross, Pembrokeshire. The road further west was improved in 2011 with 2+1 lanes for safe overtaking. A similar scheme, estimated to cost £45m, east of Penblewin has been developed.
