Lorry Control Scheme pilot mooted, as City seeks change

London councils is considering a pilot of amended hours for the London Lorry Control Scheme (LLCS), which restricts the roads lorries can use at night and weekends. But it has ruled out a trial of lowering the scheme  weight limit from 18 tonnes. 

London Councils this week outlined its thinking about the LLCS to LTT as the City of London Corporation called for changes to support its objective of reducing daytime freight traffic in the Square Mile.
