Bargoed bypass, Caerphilly

Caerphilly County Borough Council is inviting tenders from shortlisted contractors for the contract to build the Bargoed bypass. The 2.2km single carriageway road, through the former Bargoed Colliery tip site, would link the A469 at Lewis School, Pengam with Station Road, Bargoed and provide links to Bargoed town centre and Aberbargoed. The scheme would also include regeneration work in Bargoed town centre with car parking and link roads. Work could start in August and take two-and-a-half years...
