Promising start for 20mph pilots, says Welsh Government

The Welsh Government is encouraged by early results from the first three pilots of the future 20mph default speed limit in urban areas.

Eight pilot areas have been chosen, representing a variety of built environments, to enable the government to gather evidence prior to rolling out 20mph as the default in place of current 30mph limits, with specific exemptions.

The first two pilots began in mid-June in two rural villages, St Dogmaels in Pembrokeshire and St Brides Major in Vale of Glamorgan....
