20mph default limit tool in Wales refined after pilots

The Welsh Government and Transport for Wales have refined the tool which helps local authorities to define future 20mph and 30mph limits.

Wales is on course to make 20mph the default speed limit in built-up areas next year, but local authorities will retain 30mph limits on roads where certain criteria are met or not met. Determining the limits for thousands of roads is a major task.
