Warning after bogus QR codes found in Trafford car parks

Drivers have been warned to be on their guard when using pay & display machines at council car parks, after scammers plastered machines with fake QR codes.

Council car parks in Trafford do not use QR codes, said Trafford Council.

Fake QR codes found on machines at sites in Sale have been removed by civil enforcement officers.
