The Traffic Commissioners are proposing to give bus operators across Britain more leeway over what constitutes running services to time.

Since 2002 the Senior Traffic Commissioner definition of ‘on time’ has been for a bus to depart a timing point within a ‘window of tolerance’ of one minute early and five minutes late.
