Falkirk Council is in talks with the Scottish Government about a funding gap for infrastructure projects that feature in its Tax Increment Financing (TIF) pilot project.
Falkirk is one of the councils participating in the Scottish Government’s trial of TIF, which sees councils keep the extra non-domestic rate revenue raised as a result of them investing in infrastructure. The revenue is used to repay debt raised to finance the infrastructure investment.
