An in principle agreement for a major transport infrastructure programme in the Cardiff city region is expected to be announced this month.
Transport projects will to account for the lion’s share of the 20-year £1.28bn infrastructure investment fund for the ten local authority areas: Cardiff, Newport, Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Monmouthshire, Torfaen, Vale of Glamorgan, Merthyr Tydfil, Caerphilly, and Blaenau Gwent.
