New air quality direction for Bristol

The Government has issued a further direction to Bristol City Council concerning its plan to comply with legal limits for nitrogen dioxide in the shortest possible time. The council must submit an outline business case by 30 September, which must set out modelling results including for a Class C charging clean air zone (CAZ) with additional measures, a Class D CAZ with additional measures, and a city centre diesel car ban for eight hours. A full business case must be submitted by 23 December....
