Glasgow announces tariffs for EV charging

Glasgow City Council will introduce tariffs for electric vehicle charging at public chargepoints from 1 May. 

The council has installed 218 publicly available chargepoints, which are part of the Government-backed Chargeplace Scotland network. 

Drivers can currently use the chargepoints for free. Glasgow says that in the last 12 months it has paid £93,000 for the electricity used.  

From next month the tariff will be 16p/kWh for 7kW (slow) and 22kW (fast) chargers and...
