Unite members working for First South Yorkshire will take part in two 24 hour strikes in a row over annual pay rises starting tomorrow and continuing next Monday the union has announced.
The move follows a breakdown in talks between management and union leaders over what Unite claims is FirstGroup’s nationwide imposition of a 0% pay deal. Unite is accusing First of using the recession as ‘an excuse to freeze pay’.
