Oxfordshire County Council has approved plans to make it quicker and easier to reduce speed limits to 20mph in most urban areas and village streets.

This forms part of the council’s Local Transport and Connectivity Plan, designed to cut the need to travel and discourage unnecessary individual private vehicle use through making walking, cycling, public and shared transport “the natural first choice”.
