The economic case for HS2: DfT rejects business travel time criticisms

The DfT has rejected claims that the business case for high-speed rail would be undermined if a more realistic approach to valuing business travel time was used.

High-speed rail critics such as Chris Stokes have said the appraisal of the project is flawed because the DfT assumes that business travel on trains is unproductive.
